As critical thinkers, we are taught to question things: What does it mean to work "by" values? What sort of work (the pictures do not elaborate, nor do they depict working)? What are we to value: matching light blue shirts? Whose values? I guess that's plain and clear.

He [Yowell] advocates core values, has them published in the catalog and on the website, but publicly, and spectacularly violates them and you [The Board of Trustees] don't notice.

"No one", this photo montage is supposed to illustrate the workplace value that heads it: "I will demonstrate flexibility in responding to others in an ever-changing campus environment."

What's shown in the photos is interaction between only three administrators at a conference to support CQI (a relatively inflexible management system that's been imposed on us) at an off-campus resort.

Once upon a time we were learning-centered (sometimes called student-centered). That's no longer the focus, is it?
