What the Ohio Senate Budget says...

I'm hearing rather little, locally, about the most recent higher education budget news from Columbus.

The Senate budget counter-proposal contains no new cuts to higher education. It's perhaps the only part of the budget where the house and senate currently have no disagreement.

While some institutions continue to act as if the budget has fallen down the rabbit hole:

still others are hailing the budget as a strong commitment to education:

It seems to me that this indicates that colleges and universities can now be more confident in the intent of the state to support them monetarily.
