Some parties associated with The Unmentionables have begun suggesting that Edison's faculty, through the ESEA, have demanded a reduction in administrative salaries as part of KY's attempt to force a 'faculty give-back,' whatever that means. The. rumor. is. another. damn. lie.
Neither the faculty, nor the union, have any say over how much administrators, staff or other employees are paid. The ESEA has not even agreed to reopen the faculty contract, and have not, as such, made any demands on KY. Any reduction in salaries at Edison is all KY, or his Strategeric Director of Human Resources, or whomever in our organizational shrub he assigns to do his bidding.
A bald attempt at 'divide and conquer?' You bet. But it won't work. Those Resisting are doing so for Edison, for all of us, for our students, for the future of our College. Now this, dedicated to all of them:
